Project Portfolio

MOBi Consulting helps NGOs and nonprofits navigate the growing demand for mental health services amid shrinking resources by designing and implementing practical, scalable programs for newcomers with mixed migration status. We specialize in program design, clinical intervention development, and building sustainable workload solutions that strengthen organizational capacity. MOBI has been awarded consultancy contracts for ten NGO locations across the U.S. Current projects include developing clinical interventions for refugee youth and vocational training programs for refugee women, as well as clinical supervision for practicum students within field placement partnerships. Our portfolio includes state, national, and international projects.

2025 YTT Clinical Intervention Pilot Project
In 2024, the U.S. program expanded clinical team capacity and launched new pilot initiatives. Our team now consists of five trained clinicians, adding two new therapists this year. Building our team has allowed us to expand our ability to collaborate with community partners. We partnered with the Chrysalis Center to develop YTT programming for delivery in new post-migration settings with Vickery Trading Company, and Vickery Meadows Youth Development Foundation.
Last year, we focused on creating tailored clinical frameworks for post-migration settings adapting the YTT Art Based-Mental Health Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) program to be delivered in a counseling setting for individuals and families. We continue to develop programming that is versatile and responsive to the challenges communities face in post-migration contexts. This year, we successfully launched two new pilot initiatives: one integrating YTT into vocational training programs for refugee women, and another providing virtual sessions for college-aged individuals within refugee and immigrant communities.
We partnered with practicum students in social work and psychology Ph.D. programs, allowing us to facilitate programming more effectively by addressing barriers in access to participation, such as basic case management, language proficiency, and transportation. Students also provide additional support during group facilitation.
Our YTT clinical pilot study yielded encouraging results. We observed a consistent decrease in distress levels and an increase in participants' ability to achieve their goals. As part of our program delivery, we engaged directly with refugee women in vocational training.
The impact of our interventions was also shared through a keynote presentation at the University of North Texas, reaching an audience of 80 clinicians, students, and professionals. Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to refining our approaches and expanding our reach to ensure we continue to provide meaningful support to newcomers with mixed migration status in 2025 and beyond!
We’ve enjoyed having the opportunity to continue to connect with and explore the therapeutic potential of YTT with students, clinicians, and participants within the U.S.!

University of Texas at Arlington
Practicum Site Supervisor – UT Arlington Social Work Program
As a practicum site supervisor for UT Arlington’s Social Work Program, I provide hands-on training and mentorship to MSW students in a nonprofit setting focused on refugee women’s mental health and vocational retraining. This year, we are piloting the integration of clinical and mental health components into the practicum experience. One student, in the foundation year, focuses on case management with some clinical exposure, while the advanced clinical student engages in screening, assessment, and group therapy. Together, we are shaping a structured, supportive training environment that bridges direct practice with broader program development.
